When and how did you get involved with this hobby?
In 1999 one of my school teachers ran an after school model car club where we raced Mardave cars. I quickly became hooked, found my local club and it snowballed from there!
Whats your favorite class and why?
1/12th Scale Modified - it requires ultimate precision and consistency and is very rewarding when it all goes well!
What other classes do you run?
1/10 Modified Touring Cars, 1/8th Nitro Rallycross, 1/18th Electric Off Road
The thing you like most in R/C hobby?
The people I have met over the years are not only fierce competitors, but I also consider many of them my closest friends. R/C also enables me to participate in motor sport (although on a small scale!) and be competitive without spending the earth.
Your advices to a beginner?
Take your time and learn the basics first. Don’t be afraid to ask for help as most people will happily oblige. See who is fast and try to learn from them. Practice as much as you can; that’s the key to getting faster!

Winning brings a lot of enjoyment to r/c, but it is important to remember that it’s not the only thing that makes our hobby so much fun!
