2nd in Stock Touring in Friendship Race in 2007 in Eskilstuna, Sweden
6th in 1/12th scale Modified in Rebellion Race 2008
When and how did you get involved with this hobby?
Well, I noticed an advertisement to visit the local R/C club in a local weekly newspaper in late 2005. We went there with my dad and immediately when I saw the cars speeding around that track, I knew this was the hobby for me. My dad discussed with the local pro-guys and they advised for us to buy XRay T1R, after that we bought all the needed accessories to start the hobby. It was a ‘new guy starting the hobby’ stuff back then. Once I started to get more into this hobby and went to races there was no turning back anymore. Few more years of that constant progress since that - and here I am.
Whats your favorite class and why?
I still prefer Modified Touring as my main class because touring was the first R/C I've ever driven. I pretty much know all the basic stuff from there. But 1/12 is coming very close behind, now when I got away from the very-beginner level (meaning that I dare to call myself as an ‘amateur’), my interest into that class has grown massively.
What other classes do you run?
Racing only in Modified TC and 1/12 Mod but I do 2wd electric buggy just for fun sometimes.
The thing you like most in R/C hobby?
You always have this new stuff to test and your driving gets better and better all the time. You never get bored to driving around the track because there’s always that slight improvement which keeps you going. Also meeting friends and having fun is very nice.
Your advices to a beginner?
For young people I'd say that talk with your parents, talk about how deeply they can support you. Because if you are trying to do all these things by yourself, you will either run out of skills at some point or the money will certainly be an issue. But in the other hand, when you get started it all will flow nicely. For older people I cannot say much more than just keep those pro guys busy with your questions.
